If I don't like this chart type I can change it right from here. I can also click edit data in Excel so I can update my data to some new figures at any time. I can change the colors, the style of it.
I can choose from a quick layout to get the chart setup just the way I want. I have two new ribbons, the chart design tab and the format tab. It's updated itself right on the fly from that data. From here I can click my mouse to start typing and populate my own data right in Excel. I have a long list of charts I can choose from such as column, line, pie, waterfall charts even map charts. I have a blank slide, I'm going to change to the insert ribbon tab and I'll choose chart.
You can also import one that you already may have from Excel let's do both so that you can see how they work. If you're doing a business presentation it's hard to get away without doing any charts, but you can create those right in PowerPoint.
